Ms. Van Daan is described as selfish and not content. She is a hard person to agree with. The only time she appears nice is when she's around strangers and men. It is often easy to make a mistake while knowing her for a short time.

The Father

I think the father is supportive by keeping her alive; giving her food, somewhere to sleep, going to the bathroom, keeping in social tact with her, etc... His personality seems caring and determined. He cares very much about their safety. their well being, and staying alive. And that's pretty much the father.

I didn't really see anything new or interesting yesterday. It was all stuff I've seen before. So I have nothing to comment on. But if I had to recommend it or anything, I guess I would say yes if you're interested in old buildings, history and such. Otherwise, no. In my personal opinion, I think it's is a boring city with not much to do at all.

I think a good way to get the news is through the paper because not everybody can afford the Internet plus there's usually more to read/do in the paper. It's also good for older people who don't know how to use computers. Internet is a good way, too, since it saves you a trip to the store. But the absolute best way to get the news, in my opinion, is the TV. It's the most entertaining way to receive news, plus it's best for weather alerts. It informs you quicker than both the computer and newspaper. So if I had to list what's best for news from greatest to poorest. I would put TV as number one, newspaper as number two, and computer as number three. Don't get me wrong, they're all convenient in their little ways, this is just an opinion.

What's missing in the diary is the main information like the economic state, news stories, military happenings, etc... The good things to come out of the book is the inriguing fact of one person's views, opinions, and telling the story along the way in great detail.

Well, since I wasn't here for the past couple of weeks, I haven't leanred that much.
What I do know is that they live in a cramped, crowded home so they don't get caught by the Nazis. They can't go outside due to risk, and they have very little to do inside the house. Nothing else comes to mind in terms of learning anything.
